BACH FLOWER REMEDIES

£45    60 mins

Bach flower therapy dates back to the 1930s when Dr Edward Bach, a Harley Street Doctor, Bacteriologist and Homeopath discovered the healing power of flower essences. There are 38 flower remedies in total each corresponding to an emotional state or personality trait.

Rescue Remedy is probably the most well known and widely used of these remedies and contains 5 flower essences: Rock Rose to alleviate terror and panic, Impatiens to modify irritation and impatience, Clematis to combat inattentiveness, Star of Bethlehem to ease shock and Cherry Plum to calm irrational thoughts. Study suggests that Rescue Remedy is an effective all-natural stress and anxiety reliever.

Flower remedies work on any deep disharmonies within the patient and, in so doing, pave the way to recovery from the physical symptoms. The mind and emotions being the most delicate and sensitive part of a person, shows the onset and the course of disease much more definitely than the body, so the state of mind provides the guide to which remedy, or group of up to six remedies, are necessary.

The ability to identify a person’s ‘type’ and in-depth knowledge of the remedies are essential for successful treatment. As a Bach Flower Registered Practitioner, I am able to find the correct combination, dose and use of the flower remedies.

Although the remedies can be used as a standalone treatment, I tend to use them mainly alongside other treatments in a holistic way. Treatment involves an assessment of the individual’s emotional state, their mood and preoccupation. I look closely for any evidence of emotions, such as guilt, anger and fear, as well as indication about the type of person they are eg fearful, lacking in confidence, a dreamer or pessimistic.

These states all have a remedy which will remove the bad vibrations and allow healing at the higher level to begin.

Bach flower therapy can be safely used across all ages and stages of life from pregnancy and birth to old age, on animals and even on plants!
