INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

£45    45 mins

Indian head massage is a natural holistic therapy that has been popular throughout India for over a thousand years. It is a perfect therapy for our 21st century working life, given that the most common cause of poor blood flow is stress-generated muscle tension to the upper back, neck and shoulders.

The treatment is 30 to 40 minutes duration and can be conducted fully clothed in the upright position seated on a chair. It can also be done with or without the use of oil but top layers will need to be removed with the use of oil and allowance made for this. Modesty is observed at all times.

Massage of the scalp, face, neck and shoulders soothes, comforts and re-balances energy to produce a feeling of peace and relaxation and provides relief from tension and stress. By stimulating scalp circulation it relaxes the scalp, neck and face, relieves eye strain and headaches whilst improving concentration. It also eliminates muscle tension and restores joint movement by stretching and mobilising the tissues of the upper back, neck, shoulders and face through a unique massage sequence.

I use specially prepared oils, including coconut, sesame and olive that complement the treatment and suit the individual needs. Fragrance and its therapeutic effect may also be chosen selectively. Indian head massage is a safe, accessible, yet effective therapy that can promote hair growth and also provides relief from aches and pains and stress related issues.
